CONDITIONS WE TREAT · STAFFORD & FREDERICKSBURG, VA
Find Your Condition. Understand Your Options.
Most people don't start by searching for a type of physical therapy. They start with what hurts, what feels restricted, what keeps coming back, or what they can't do the way they want to anymore. Seven areas of care, color-coded below, so you can jump straight to what fits.

START WITH WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING
What Conditions Does Divine Physical Therapy Treat?
Divine Physical Therapy provides individualized care for a wide range of orthopedic, sports, pelvic health, neurological, and movement-related concerns, with particular focus on shoulder and upper-body conditions, sports and performance rehabilitation, myofascial pain and trigger points, jaw and neck-related concerns, and women's pelvic health and postpartum recovery.
We work especially well with people who have something they want their bodies to keep doing: athletes, martial artists, lifters, dancers, active moms, tactical professionals, busy professionals, and people with physically demanding hobbies.
You don't need to know your diagnosis before reaching out, and your condition doesn't have to fit neatly into one category. Start with what hurts, what feels restricted, or what you want to get back to; we'll figure out the right next step from there.

A DIAGNOSIS IS PART OF THE PICTURE
Why We Still Start With An Evaluation
A diagnosis tells us something important, but it doesn't always explain everything affecting how you move or why a problem keeps returning. Pain or restriction in one area may be influenced by mobility, strength, load tolerance, movement strategy, previous injury, training demands, work demands, or another part of the body.
Care at Divine Physical Therapy doesn't begin with a generic treatment protocol based solely on the name of your condition. It begins with an evaluation, looking at the area bothering you and the factors that may be contributing to it, then determining where skilled treatment may add value and what you can begin working on independently.
UPPER BODY
Shoulder, Neck, Jaw & Headaches
When the upper body needs a closer look. Look here if: shoulder, neck, jaw or head pain won't quit
The shoulder, shoulder blade, neck, jaw, rib cage, and surrounding muscles don't function in isolation. When symptoms persist or keep returning, assessment may need to look beyond the exact spot that hurts. This is an area of particular clinical focus at Divine Physical Therapy, combining detailed movement assessment with skilled manual therapy, dry needling when appropriate, mobility work, strengthening, and movement retraining.
For appropriate jaw and TMJ-related concerns, treatment may also include intraoral manual therapy when clinically indicated and with your consent.

PERFORMANCE
Sports, Performance & Active Adults
Get back to what you actually do. Look here if: an injury is keeping you off the field, court, road or gym floor
Rehabilitation should prepare your body for the demands you're returning to, not simply get you through a generic exercise checklist. We especially enjoy working with baseball & softball players, volleyball and other overhead athletes, martial artists, dancers, weightlifters, runners, racquet-sport athletes, and motivated youth, high school and college athletes. You don't have to be an elite athlete: if an activity matters to you, your rehabilitation should account for what that activity actually asks of your body.

MANUAL THERAPY
Myofascial Pain, Trigger Points & Persistent Muscle Tightness
When another massage isn't solving it. Look here if: the same tight spot keeps coming back no matter what you try
Some people come to Divine Physical Therapy after months or years of recurring muscle tightness, trigger points, tension, or restrictions that temporarily improve with massage, manipulation, or stretching, only to return again. That doesn't necessarily mean those treatments were wrong; it may mean the problem needs to be assessed differently. Care may combine manual treatment, dry needling, mobility, movement retraining, strengthening, and progressive loading.
The goal isn't to keep releasing the same spot forever. It's to use skilled treatment when it adds value, then determine what your body needs to do with that change. Learn about manual therapy & dry needling →

PELVIC HEALTH
Women's Pelvic Health & Postpartum
Because “cleared” and “ready” aren't always the same thing. Look here if: pregnancy, birth or recovery left something feeling off
Pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and returning to activity can affect much more than the pelvic floor. Divine Physical Therapy provides private, individualized women's pelvic health care that considers the pelvic floor, abdominal wall, breathing, strength, movement, symptoms, and the activities you're trying to return to. Your baby is welcome during mobile postpartum visits.
Divine Physical Therapy's specialized pelvic health services are currently focused on women's pelvic health and do not include internal pelvic floor examinations or internal pelvic floor treatment for male clients.

OCCUPATIONAL
Occupational, Tactical & High-Demand Professionals
When your body is part of the job. Look here if: gear, shifts or a demanding job are wearing you down
Some careers don't allow you to separate physical capacity from professional performance. Divine Physical Therapy works with healthcare workers, military personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and others whose jobs may require lifting, carrying, running, prolonged positioning, wearing equipment, or repeatedly performing physically demanding tasks. For executives, entrepreneurs, and other busy professionals, the challenge may be different: finding time for care at all. Mobile physical therapy removes the waiting room and the handoff between providers.

PREVENTION
Movement, Performance & Prevention
You don't have to wait until something hurts. Look here if: nothing hurts yet, but you want to stay ahead of it
Physical therapy can also be useful when your goal isn't rehabilitation from a current injury. You may want to understand a recurring restriction, address a movement limitation, prepare for increased training demands, or identify areas worth working on before they become bigger problems. The goal isn't to find something "wrong" with you; it's to understand what your body is currently doing well and what deserves attention.

Divine Physical Therapy also provides individualized neurological, balance, mobility, and functional rehabilitation for appropriate clients. Mobile care can be particularly valuable when the goal involves navigating the actual environment where you live: your stairs, floors, thresholds, bathroom, bedroom, and daily routines.

Who We Work Best With
Physical therapy for people who expect more from their bodies—and their care.
Divine Physical Therapy is built for people who have something worth staying ready for: your sport, career, next competition, the dance floor, the lifting program you refuse to give up, keeping up with your kids, or returning to activity after pregnancy. It is also for finally addressing the restriction that keeps returning despite everything you have already tried.
You do not have to be an elite athlete.
You simply have to care about what your body can do
You have a sport, physical hobby, career or activity that matters to you.
You want to understand what's happening rather than simply be told to stop doing the activity.
You’re willing to take an active role in your recovery and carry the work forward between appointments.
You appreciate skilled manual therapy and dry needling when appropriate, but don't want to depend on passive treatment forever.
You've repeatedly tried massage, chiropractic care, stretching, or generic exercise programs and the same problem keeps returning.
You want rehabilitation built around the demands you're actually returning to.
You value longer, one-on-one appointments with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Your schedule makes traditional clinic-based care difficult or inefficient.
