WHO WE HELP · STAFFORD & FREDERICKSBURG, VA
The People This Practice Was Built For
One clinician, seventy-five minutes, in your home, a model that serves some people extraordinarily well and others not at all. This page describes both, plainly: the four groups Divine Physical Therapy was designed around, what they tend to have in common, and the situations where a different kind of care would honestly serve you better.

A PRACTICE WITH A SHAPE, NOT A FUNNEL
Who is Divine Physical Therapy for?

Divine Physical Therapy serves adults centered in Stafford County, Virginia, with select nearby visits by arrangement, who want thoughtful, one-on-one care from a clinician who gets to know the whole story — not just the body part that hurts. That includes new and not-so-new mothers, athletes and active adults, military service members and first responders, healthcare professionals, and people who simply want to keep moving well.
Every session is one-on-one with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy, for 75 minutes, in your home. It is a deliberately small, direct-pay practice — which is exactly why the fit question matters. The complimentary Discovery Consultation exists to answer it honestly, in both directions, before anyone commits to anything.
Most clinics will take anyone insurance will authorize. A one-clinician mobile practice cannot work that way — and does not want to. Reviewed by Dr. Thea Paige, PT, DPT, CMTPT, PCES — about Dr. Paige.
THE COMMON THREAD
What do our clients have in common?
They are people who care about staying capable, whether that means getting back to a sport, keeping up with their children, returning to the gym, moving comfortably through a workday, or simply feeling more confident in their body again. Some already invest heavily in their health through training, coaching, or fitness. Others are trying to figure out where to begin. What they tend to want is the same: a provider who listens, understands what matters to them, and has enough time to connect the dots.
They ask why. They want the reasoning behind an exercise, not just the sets and reps, because education is the treatment plan here, and a person who understands the mechanism keeps the result long after the plan of care ends.

Continuity is a clinical instrument, not a comfort. When the same clinician sees you every visit, each session starts from accumulated data — instead of starting from a re-explanation. That compounding knowledge is why fewer, longer visits can outperform many short ones.
CLINICAL ARCHITECTURE & DUAL CREDENTIALS
Why does one clinician for the whole story matter?

Because problems rarely respect specialty lines. A postpartum runner's leaking and her knee pain are often one pressure-management problem wearing two costumes and most practices would send her to two different providers who never speak. Dr. Paige holds both orthopedic and pelvic health credentials: a Doctor of Physical Therapy from The George Washington University, advanced pelvic training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, the Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) credential through Myopain Seminars, and the Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification. One person can treat both halves of the problem, and remember both halves next visit.
My experience across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and hospital practice has taught me that the right care requires the right setting. I created Divine Physical Therapy to provide the time and individualized attention traditional healthcare often cannot—and I’ll always tell you honestly if another provider or setting would serve you better.

THE HONEST VERSION
Who Is This Practice For And Who Is It Not?
This is likely a good fit if
This is likely a good fit if you want unhurried one-on-one time with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit; if you want to understand why you are doing something, not just what; if getting to a clinic is the thing that keeps derailing your care; if you have already tried a high-volume clinic and left feeling like a number; or if your problem crosses the orthopedic and pelvic health line and you are tired of being handed between providers.
This is likely a poor fit if
This may not be the right fit if you need aquatic or pool-based therapy, frequent supervised visits over an extended period, specialized facility-based equipment, or coordinated nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or multidisciplinary care. As a solo mobile practice, availability for multiple short-notice visits each week is limited. I’ll be transparent about whether this model can support your needs—and help point you toward a more appropriate setting when it cannot.
STRAIGHTFORWARD ECONOMICS
If you need to use insurance
Insurance is a real financial consideration, and you deserve a straightforward answer—not a sales pitch. Divine Physical Therapy is a direct-pay, out-of-network practice. If using an in-network provider is what makes care affordable right now, that may be the right choice. Dr. Paige will tell you that honestly during your complimentary Discovery Consultation rather than persuade you into care that strains your budget. But “not right now” does not necessarily mean “not ever.”
The true cost of care depends on your deductible, copay or coinsurance, out-of-network benefits, and the number of visits you may need. The Discovery Consultation gives you space to compare those factors openly. Some people find that the cost difference is smaller than expected. Others begin with an in-network clinic and return later for focused, one-on-one care when an issue has not fully resolved or when their schedule and budget allow.
HSA or FSA funds may be used for eligible services, and an itemized superbill is available if you choose to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. A 10% community discount is also available for active-duty military members, veterans, healthcare professionals, and students. Visit the Rates & Payment page for full details.
You do not have to determine the right fit on your own. During the Discovery Consultation, Dr. Paige will consider your goals, history, clinical needs, schedule, and financial priorities before either of you commits to care. If the honest answer is “not here” or “not here yet,” she will say so—and, whenever possible, guide you toward a provider or setting better suited to your needs.
