Physical therapy services provided by Divine Physical Therapy, LLC are delivered by Dr. Thea Paige, PT, DPT, a physical therapist licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, VA PT License #VA2305209500. Evaluation, treatment, clinical decision-making, documentation, referrals, and other professional services are provided in accordance with applicable Virginia laws and regulations governing the practice of physical therapy and within Dr. Paige's professional scope, training, and individual clinical competence.

Pelvic health information

Pelvic health information on this website is provided for general educational purposes; it does not mean that every assessment or intervention described is appropriate or necessary for every client. An internal pelvic floor assessment is not required for every pelvic health, postpartum, abdominal wall, or related concern, many concerns can be evaluated and treated externally. When clinically appropriate, an internal pelvic floor assessment or intervention may be discussed as one potential component of care, and a client may decline it.

Internal pelvic floor assessments and interventions at Divine Physical Therapy are currently available for women only, and are performed only when clinically appropriate and with informed consent. Male clients may receive appropriate external physical therapy services within Divine Physical Therapy's scope, including orthopedic, sports, abdominal wall, diastasis recti, movement and performance, manual therapy, and other appropriate musculoskeletal care. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as representing that Divine Physical Therapy provides internal male pelvic floor assessment or treatment.

Dry needling & other specialized interventions

The availability of dry needling, manual therapy, pelvic health interventions, or another specialized treatment on this website does not mean that intervention will be appropriate or recommended for every client. Clinical appropriateness is determined following evaluation and consideration of relevant indications, precautions, contraindications, health history, client preferences, and professional judgment. Dry needling is an advanced physical therapy procedure and is performed only when clinically appropriate and within applicable Virginia requirements. When informed consent is required for a treatment or procedure, applicable risks, potential benefits, alternatives, and relevant precautions are addressed before the intervention is performed. Clients may decline a particular intervention without automatically declining physical therapy care as a whole.

Mobile & in-home physical therapy

Divine Physical Therapy provides mobile care in clients' homes and, when appropriate and permitted, other community locations. These environments are not owned or controlled by Divine Physical Therapy. Clients are responsible for providing a reasonably safe, accessible, and appropriate environment for the scheduled visit, this may include adequate treatment space, reducing environmental hazards, securing pets when necessary, and addressing interruptions or conditions that could interfere with safe treatment. Dr. Paige may modify, pause, relocate, postpone, reschedule, or discontinue a visit when the environment does not reasonably support safe or appropriate physical therapy care.

When treatment is requested at a gym, workplace, training facility, athletic facility, or other third-party location, permission from the property owner or facility may be required before services are provided. For gyms and privately operated facilities, clients should confirm that the facility permits an outside physical therapist to provide services on-site before requesting treatment there.

​

Babies, children & others during mobile visits

For mobile visits, your baby or another family member may remain present when appropriate. However, the presence of children, dependents, pets, family members, or other individuals must not interfere with the safe and appropriate delivery of care. Clients remain responsible for the supervision, safety, and care of children, dependents, pets, and other individuals present during an appointment; Divine Physical Therapy does not assume that responsibility. Dr. Paige may modify, pause, or discontinue a portion of a visit if the treatment environment becomes unsafe or does not allow appropriate care to continue.

Virginia direct access, referrals & collaboration

Virginia permits qualifying physical therapists to provide certain physical therapy services without a referral under applicable direct-access laws and regulations. Applicable direct-access requirements, documentation, medical-release provisions, referrals, and communication with other healthcare professionals are followed when required. Direct access does not mean that physical therapy is appropriate for every condition. Dr. Paige may recommend referral to, consultation with, or evaluation by a physician or another qualified healthcare professional when clinical findings, symptoms, progress, applicable requirements, or a client's needs indicate that additional evaluation or care is appropriate, a referral may therefore be recommended even when one was not required to begin the physical therapy evaluation.

Direct-pay, insurance & reimbursement

Divine Physical Therapy is a direct-pay, out-of-network physical therapy practice. Information regarding fees, HSA/FSA use, superbills, insurance benefits, or possible out-of-network reimbursement is provided for general informational purposes. A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement, and Divine Physical Therapy does not guarantee that an insurance company, health plan, HSA/FSA administrator, or other third-party payer will reimburse, approve, or determine a particular service to be eligible. Clients are responsible for understanding and verifying their individual benefits, coverage requirements, deductibles, reimbursement policies, claim-submission requirements, HSA/FSA eligibility, and other payer requirements. Current information regarding services, fees, and payment is available under Care & Investment.

Medicare beneficiaries

Divine Physical Therapy is not enrolled as a Medicare provider. If you have Medicare, please contact the practice before scheduling. The availability of a service on this website does not establish that it may be provided to a particular Medicare beneficiary under Divine Physical Therapy's practice model or applicable Medicare requirements, and nothing here should be interpreted as confirmation that a particular service can be privately paid for, billed, or otherwise provided to a Medicare beneficiary. Eligibility should be confirmed with Divine Physical Therapy before scheduling or receiving services.
